Hi there! My name is Rachel and I am an accelerated nursing student at Old Dominion University. I am hoping to finish up my undergraduate nursing studies at ODU in August of 2016 but before nursing school is over I am very excited about an incredible opportunity to travel to Austria and experience healthcare in another country. I have never traveled anywhere in Europe so I am excited about the opportunity to experience a very different culture and approach to nursing care. My primary goal for this trip is to absorb absolutely as much information as I can and have as many different experiences as possible! Looking forward to this upcoming excursion overseas!

Guten Tag! I am a junior accelerated ODU nursing student. I intend to graduate August of 2016 and go into oncology. I took classes on the German language and literature throughout high school and college. I have been lucky to travel to Europe a few times before, however I am especially fond of Germany and Austria. My goal is to observe the differences in nursing studies, evidence based practice and healthcare in Austria in hopes to translate it to my practice in the United States. Since completing my psychiatric clinical, I am interested to see the difference in the treatment of mental health in Austria compared to the US.
